Technical reports describe the progress or results of research and development. They usually fall into two categories: government sponsored or privately funded. A listing of selected online resources to assist in locating technical reports, preferable in full text formats. 

Either category may include reports produced by university departments, institutes, industry, or government agencies and laboratories. Publication and dissemination of technical reports has generally NOT been centrally coordinated which makes them particularly difficult to identify and locate.
