THE INNOVATION LAB
Innovation Lab
The Innovation Lab is a state-of-the-art interdisciplinary learning, research, and collaboration hub located on the 4th Floor of the Shaheed Hridoy Tarua Building (New Arts Faculty Building) at the University. Designed to foster innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven problem solving, the facility provides students, faculty members, researchers, and industry partners with a dynamic environment for academic exploration and collaborative project development.
The Innovation Lab serves as a central platform for interdisciplinary engagement, supporting research activities, digital scholarship, design thinking, prototyping, and the development of innovative solutions to contemporary challenges. The facility integrates advanced technologies with flexible learning spaces to encourage experimentation, knowledge sharing, and collaborative learning.
Mission
The Innovation Lab aims to cultivate a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning by providing access to cutting-edge technologies, collaborative workspaces, and expert support. Through interdisciplinary engagement and technology-enabled learning, the Lab empowers students and researchers to transform ideas into impactful solutions, contribute to knowledge creation, and address local, national, and global challenges.
Purpose
As a flagship academic and innovation facility, the Innovation Lab represents the University’s commitment to excellence in education, research, digital transformation, and community engagement in the twenty-first century.

The Innovation Lab comprises a range of specialized facilities, including:
High Technology Collaboration Center

Scholars’ Research Laboratory
Scholars’ Research Laboratory providing dedicated workspace and resources for faculty members, researchers, and graduate students.
Group Study and Collaboration Rooms
Group Study and Collaboration Rooms designed to support team-based learning, project work, and academic discussions.
Library Instructional Laboratory
Library Instructional Laboratory equipped for information literacy training, digital scholarship workshops, and academic skills development.
Breakout and Meeting Rooms
Breakout and Meeting Rooms for small-group discussions, mentoring sessions, and collaborative activities.
Open Innovation Commons
Open Innovation Commons featuring a spacious and flexible study environment that promotes interaction, creativity, and knowledge exchange.

What is an Innovation Lab?
An innovation lab is a new kind of physical space that encourages the creation, development, and implementation of novel ideas. Such a space grows potential earning opportunities and relationships within an organization alike. An innovation lab can be referred to with many different titles such as idea lab, innovation center, creativity lab, makerspace, etc.
